I'm having a problem with make-up clumping around my mouth when it's warm out! I use either clinique tinted moisturizer or l'oreal with loose powder over them but when i'm running between lectures, getting warmer by the minute my make up just looks all blothcy. i haven't got time to re-powder every hour so any helpful advice would be great! I've combination skin so any tips would be appreciated :D

I would recommend you exfoliate at least twice a week (with a proper exfoliator, not an exfoliating face wash), use an oil free moisturiser (I have combination skin too and this is really helpful) and make sure your foundation isn't oily. I use Clinique Superfit which is not only oil-free, it 'wicks away sweat and excess oil', or MAC's mineral powder foundation.

You could try using a foundation primer as well but it's not always necessary.

What'd be the best exfoliator to use? plus moisturiser?

I use Origin's Modern Friction. It is excellent.

I find that if you use any powder or mineral foundation and it gets warm, it tends to look clumpy, no matter what you do. You can moisturise til the cows come in... the powder dries it up and your face looks patchy. Some mousse foundations do this too. I reccomend Maybelline Airwhip after you've moisturised. Make sure to let the moisturiser sink in and dry before you put on any make up, because the oil in moisturiser will mess it up anyway if it's not dry.

Maybe you're using mineral foundation that has talc in, as opposed to being 100% mineral powder? I've used Bare Escentuals and MAC and I never get clumping or patchiness..

No, I've used Bare Escentuals and haven't liked it at all. Maybe it's just my skin type.

Yeah, I have the Smashbox photo finish primer and I've tried it. I always find powder blotchy regardless

OP, forgot to answer your Q...I use Kiehl's oil free moisturiser and those Montagne Jeunesse packs of exfoliator (get two uses out of one pack) that you get in Dunnes/Boots etc, and i'd use the neutrogena microdermabrasion system once a week if I thought my skin was still looking a bit dull.
