Spotted this on the back of a bus this morning..

    http://www.st-sin.de/noflash_en.html

    Opinions?

I'm thinking it could be open to abuse, ie drunk drivers etc (that's if it actually works that is)

I know that but don't a lot of roadside breath tests result from the initial detection of alcohol on the breath by the Guarda ie the smell of it?

St. Sin N° 1 is the first food product that completely neutralizes alcohol breath with a lasting effect – in just 30 seconds!

St. Sin N° 1 targets the cause without masking scents. Alcohol breath is gone – as long as no further alcohol is consumed. Incidentally, St. Sin N° 1 is a dextrose candy with an “energy drink” flavor that tastes great.
After consuming alcohol, chew the product and use your tongue to spread it around your mouth.
The product dissolves within 30 seconds and neutralizes the odor of alcohol on your breath.

But it doesn't kill the alcohol in your lungs pushed out by breathing so won't help you at a control.

Oh there's a tonne of these 'products' on the market. I just feel sorry for the twats who haven't a basic enough understanding of biology to realise that they're all BS. Who would use one anyway, if you're stupid enough to drink/drive or come into work with the smell of drink on your breath you deserve whats coming to you.

i'm not sure to be honest, but i'd personally say that it results from the general awkwardness of the driver.

"what seems to be the officer, problem?"

These days they just randomly breathalyse people.

Anyways - didn't Polo mints do the same job for us when we were teenagers?

Just back from working in Switzerland where this product is all the rage.
Gutted ti hear that it is already available here as thought I would love to get the franchise here.
It totally works on clearing alcohol taste and smell from the mouth but not the lungs. it says so on the German pack anyway that dont drink and drive. the gen opinion in Switzerland is that it helps with a couple of mills to keep you under the limit but not if you had a skinful.
They also have a Garlic one that I have also had the totally works too. these things dont mask like gum and mints they actually neutralise.
haven't seen them for sale anywhere as yet? anyone help with where they are? christmas indulgence and all that.:)

have heard of and seen them but eventually drink driving ends up being a disaster....for all involved...in swiss they use these sweets for a 'help' when you have had one or two and dont want to smell or might be a smidge over the limit.
will help in some countries where cops go on smell but here they do random tests.
very handy when sneaking home after a few pints to the missus.
alos the garlic one totally works but havent tried the smoke one either.

Won't beat slurred speech, slow response times to questioning, eye pupils dilated, etc...
Good for the office or kissing the other half but thats about it.
