I'm trying to get my 360's to play on lan through a switch thats connected to my router. I have the ports 192.168.1.3,4, 8 and 9 as the ports i'm using rest of the details are 255.255.255.0 and default gateway 192.168.1.254. Even with puting the ip's into the xbox's they always just use an internet ip so cant play on lan. Would i have to create a different default gateway to go through before hitting the router to fix this or would anyone else know a work around?

Well too start, are you sure that default gateway is correct ? For the subnet address you gave it should be 192.168.1.1

And have you turned off DHCP ?
