Using Laptop as Wireless Router for iPhone - Help

    Hi

    Can someone please help me?

I am trying to use ICS with an O2 Broadband modem and my laptop as the wireless router.

I have done the following steps a number of times:

    1. Click Start, Control Panel, Network and Sharing Center .

    2. Click Set up a connection or network.

    3. Click Set up a wireless ad hoc (computer-to-computer) network, and then click Next.

    4. Enter a name for your network, choose a security type (WEP is probably fine, given that you're sharing your network with people you know), and then enter a security key.

    5. Check the Save this network box, then click Next.

    6. If you see a box marked Turn on Internet Connection Sharing, go ahead and click it.

For some reason this just wont work for me - it did once at the start but I wanted to put a password on the connection and when I went back and changed it it stopped and hasnt worked since.

I really need to get this going - does anyone have any ideas?

I got it to work yesterday but had to set up the ad hoc network twice in windows 7. It seems temperamental and the offending settings are not easy to find. Fingers crossed the second entry from scratch still works
