Transfer of ownership of old house

    A few quick questions.

    1. If a house is transfered from a parent to a child, is the child still considered to be a first time buyer when looking for a mortgage for another house?

    2. How much do solicitors charge for transfer of ownership of house from parent to child?

    Above is not me!

Does not matter how one acquired it, once one owns a house, one is no longer a first time buyer.
