Hi I plan to get a U and chain/cable lock. I'm gonna get a kryptonite u lock and i'm not sure about the chain/cable lock. Any suggestions?
I'm also wondering where can I get these locks the cheapest whether online or shops in dublin.
    Thanks!

have a K - new york lock. broke free from its mounting 3 separate times. Its a very heavy lock - questionable if frame mountable at all with irish potholes. apart from that a great lock. secure as all hell and tough. (touch wood!)

£36.99 at Slane Cycles, but you need to spend £100 or more to get free delivery

:D i bought one last week, it fell out of mounting first evening and got run over by a 78bus, the keyhole cover broke off (plasticy bit) but it's a real 'f**k off' lock I have to say. 90quid in penny farthing.

cable lock is just a secondary lock for temporary security of your QR front wheel don't rely on them for anything more.

I bought a Kryptolok and Kryptoflex in Cycleogical for E35. Kryptolok is frame-mountable, but rattles a bit. I fixed that with an elastic band, strapping the end of the crossbar section to the mounting bracket.

However, I wouldn't leave a good bike for very long with a Kryptolok, so if I'm leaving the bike for a while I use a Fahgettaboudit mini u-lock (was about E100 in Cycleogical) and use the Kryptolok to secure the front wheel. The Fahgettaboudit is way too heavy to mount (2kg; no bracket is even provided), so that has to be carried in a pannier.

Any ideas on how I might mount my lock? The mounting bracket just snapped off at the tightening part...

No bracket even exists (at least from Kryptonite).

I've had this one for about two years and I highly recommend it.
