How much do you lie?
I have met some liars in my life and they do it to hurt others.
I lie to protect myself, i dont see it really as a lie because not hurting anyone.
Have you got a lie that makes you ashamed?

I don't really lie at all. I tell the occassional fib or I'll omit something I may be a little embarrassed about. Other than I'm pretty honest.
I have a 'friend' though who'll lie about what she had for lunch and other such irrelevant things, for no apparent reason. I really don't understand why some people do that

I don't lie. I wish I was capable of the hugest lies ever, too honest for my own good, Karma and all that. But I deal with people all the time who do, sad sad people. But it always comes back and bites them in the ar$e, might take a long time but it does.

You can save yourself from a thief, but not a liar.

Your lucky she lies about not important things though.
I have met some who lie on purpose to get others in trouble and dont care who gets hurt in process.

I know what you mean i used to wish i could lie and be ruthless.
But i soon realised i couldn't and cut all the people out of my life that were making me feel like i had to be like that in order to get ahead.

I don't, as in I make a proper attempt to avoid lying to someone even if it means getting myself into trouble, and I have little time for people who lie.
If there's something I don't want someone to know I won't mention it, if they directly ask about it I'll tell them, or tell them that I don't want to answer, but if it concerns them in some way I won't keep it from them.
If I did something that I'd be embarrassed to admit to I won't make it worse by lying, better to just get it over with and explain if it comes up.

Hate being lied to, as does everyone else I assume, so I really don't see why it's accepted in any way.

I choose the ' I lie only to protect myself and others not in bad way ' cos I think it's true for most of us .I think we sometimes need to tell white lies which is just a simple way of diverting somebody away from trying to gain information from which they may use to subvert ie, not in our best intrests .

Of course I will sometimes lie to wind somebody up /as a joke

How do you know its not hurting anyone ? Let me tell you the only lies that hurt me are the ones where the person telling the lies think they are not hurting anyone.

I don't lie too much. But if needs be I am a wonderful liar. I used to constantly lie about stupid pointless thing when I was a teenager. I kept up a lie about my age for about 6 years to my closest friends until I actually started believing it myself. Then when I was 18 and had to have an 18th party I made up another lie to justify the lie about my age. Lie lie lie. But not anymore, I'm very honest now.

Nah that's what i am saying its personal info that will never be found out because only i know the truth of it,Which is for me to lie about it.And even if they found out i lied about it i wouldn't care cause nothing to do with them in first place.But they wouldn't be hurt just sickened they had no gossip for their ever wagging tongues.;)
