Martial Arts in Trinity?

I was thinking of joining one or more of the martial arts clubs in trinity.

I joined the fencing club at the start of the year but it wasnt that great (for me anyway) and decided to leave it after the reading week. Now I'm looking to get into one of the martial arts clubs in tcd.

If anyone here could give me their insight into the classes of the different clubs. What are the teachers like, difficulty etc. I know its really something that I should choose for myself but I would rather hear some other peoples opinions on the clubs before I go and try everyone of them out.

    :pac:

Definitely do judo, its the best! For so many reasons, alot of which I can't be bothered to mention, but here are some:

    1)The captain is a legend.
2)You don't need experience or fitness to start, but you'll get both from the very first class. Its not difficult in that you don't need to know anything to start, or be super-fit, but you are pushed during the classes as much as you should be.
3)The training is free, unlike the other martial arts.
3a)Relaxed training environment, the coaches are cool and lots of help for beginners (everyone who has experience helps the beginners)
4)Its very hands on, no boring standing in lines or anything.
    5)Great fun!
    6)Cool videos on youtube.

So if you to find out more about judo just wiki/youtube it, or else message us trinityjudo@gmail.com, or just come straight to training on Monday!
