    By Mike Johnson
ROH champions Jay and Mark Briscoe were at last night's WWE Smackdown/ECW taping in Philadelphia and worked out in the ring before the taping in something of an informal tryout. The duo are currently under a Ring of Honor contract and were given permission by the company to attend the taping and do the invited tryout.

I saw this earlier but couldn't see it on a site I would have faith in.

I have not watched much ROH for a while but I was always impressed with these two. Would be great to see them get the chance in WWE.

briscoes are about 10 years too late to get over in wwe, ah well

^ How so? Briscoes are a very innovative team, who can adapt to any style? They can fly, they can brawl, they can mat wrestle. I would be very interested to hear their incoherent crazy redneck style promo on WWE tv.

their both in there mid twenties so time is on their side, i know what you mean though, if they were around during the hardys, E&C and dudleys period it'd be easier for them, especially since theres not really a tag division now, but theres no reason to think there cant be a good tag division in the future

Not at all. If they signed for WWE I wouldn't expect them to be allowed do their 100 mile an hour stuff anyway.

A more realistic option is to let them do their awesome redneck promoes and brawl, which they're equally adept at.

Either way they're too good not to make it sooner rather then later in WWE, they're still only kids.

like furnas and lefon it doesn't matter how good you are if you are in the right place at the wrong time

substitute koslov/jackson, cryme tyme, henry/mvp for the godwins, new rockers and the headbangers

A very good point in fairness.

I agree, but The Briscoes have tons more personality than Furnas and Lefon ever did. I always felt that ROH- as good as the Briscoes have been there, haven't taken full advantage of their potential as a marketable act (and maybe have never had the means to do so). But in the WWE, they could definitely be so much more than a high-spot based tag team- they could be akin to a modern day Sheepherders.

If they do sign I hope they go to FCW for a while and learn how to work shorter matches that aren't just a series of high spots.

They can already do this though.
