I used to have a 750gb external hard drive I used for backing up my important stuff, well that drive has died and at the moment I'm running 4 hard drives (not including my OS drive) varying in size and manufacturer. I'm thinking of getting 2 of these and putting them in RAID 1. Is this a good idea? I'd like to wait a few…

I'd like to wait a few months because I've heard that the 3TB drives will start showing up in force early next year and it will probably push the price of 2TB down but the longer I wait the more chance that one of my drives will die and I'll lose data
