    Hey guys.

Im starting a fashion workshop in college soon and I'm sure some of you customize your clothes!. Does anyone here know of any shops/second hand shops where I can find scrap material, ribbons, lace etc.. for quite cheap. Sort of a bargain bin of fabrics etc.
The kind of things I'm planning on making are
    Gothic Lolita Hats
    Hairfalls
    Button Bracelets
    Resists
    T-shirts

Also if anyone knows of anywhere that sells cheap buttons, sequins, feathers etc.. for embellishment purposes. Thanks a mill
Oha nd any tips or sites you can give me for cothes making/customization as I need to show research too

I would start with some of the charity shops. You might find something there. I would also spread the word around friends/family etc. Lots of people have bits and pieces lying around that they would be glad to see someone put to good use. Check with local dressmakers/curtain makers as well.
    Good luck

For button and ribbons you could check Cara Craft (www.craftsupplies.ie). I've bought big grab bags of buttons from there as well as organza and satin ribbons at reasonable prices.

Car boot/jumble sales would be somewhere to check out too if they're on it your area.

check out ebay. seriously, you can find great deals on fabric there. even totalling in postage it tends to be good value.

I ask local dressmakers to put ends of fabric away for me. I've got some really beautiful pieces from them
