Is there any way to get chick peas ready in a shorter time than through the conventional soaking appraoch? Want to do a Tagine tonight and don't really fancy using canned stuff.

    Cheers

If they are soaked and have fully hydrated then a pressure cooker will cook them quickly.

Chick peas from a can are really good as canned stuff goes. They hold their shape and still have bite - just don't buy the cheap ones...

You can also buy frozen chickpeas in some places.
