One of the members over at E30owners.com had a good idea for a meet next year.

Basically we're trying to get all the different models of E30's made together for a big meet at some stage next year.

This evolved a bit in to trying to get the different variants of the different models also and even in the different colours they were available (for example the 318iS came in only 5 colours, we just need a Lazur models). And from there we went even further and added E30's with engine swaps to the list.

So far a good number of people have shown interest and put their names down under the different models/variants. We nearly have full linup of each model with the exception of a few rareities like the 320iS and 1 or 2 M3 models.

We're still very much trying to fill spaces before we start to plan for a date and at which point we also hope to get some interest from the various BMW mags.

I would hope there's a few of you here with E30's who would be interested in attending and help fill the gaps on the list or adding more to already listed models (we're aiming to get as many of each model).

I've made up a google excel document with the list of all models. You'll see from looking at it there are already a few spots filled, as already said the more the better and feel free to add another line to stick your name down by the relevant model/body type.

    Thanks,
    Brendan

    From E30Owners.com:

    Guys & Gals,

Just to update you on things so everyone is kept in the loop.

    Charities

We're delighted so far with peoples willingness to attend and have talked about doing something for charity as it seems only the right thing to do with so many people attending.

We talked about doing it for various charities and the 2 that came to mind where Crumlin's Childrens Hospital & St Lukes Hospital for Cancer Patients which is struggling to keep itself open.

It is completely voluntary! We're calling it "loose change donations" meaning that if you have 50 cent in the ashtray of your car, throw it into the bucket and we'll give what we collect to the above 2 charities. I hope that is ok with everyone and again it is voluntary and NOT required.

    Location

Tulfarris is delighted to be doing this with E30Owners and we're currently drawing out plans for positioning cars etc and will post that up soon as Jozi gets the site plans...

At last count there is currently 80+ cars that have registered themselves in attending. Plus other non E30 visitors that are coming also.

We still need everyone to just re-affirm there attendance. Thanks to all those who have so far.

If anyone wants to stay in Tulfarris, please contact them yourself. I don't think many are staying but if enough of you's where interesting, I'm sure a better deal could be made. check out this thread and post your interest here.

    Prizes & Competitions

We're going to do raffles and or competitions too on the day. More information will be posted about this closer to the day.

This is on this Sunday. We're looking at possible upto 100 cars attending (70+ known confirmed).

We're on the look out for a 323 if anyone knows of one? Appart from that the whole E30 range is reprasented (except for all Alpina and Hartge models).

Last year was our first attempt. We're trying to get more E30's for it this year and organising is well under way.

We moved towards the midlands this time, Atlone IT are having us for the dayon Sunday June 19th, and on Saturday we're going to go out for a fe on athlone, all welcome.

Should be a good one this year. Keep an eye on the E30owners meet section for updates etc! I'll post up a thread over the next few weeks once we get a poster sorted.

What kind of E30 have you got? I was driving a touring, she's getting a bit of work at the min and a whole host of upgrades/additions once repainted

We're having it open to anyone to come and have a look E30 or not. The aim is to get as manyE30's though! We have 2 car parks, 1 will be for all the E30 and the other for visitors and other marques. I think there's probably going to be a couple of VAG's there and more than likely other cars to. We won't turn anyone away unless there's messing.

Have a look on E30owners if your after an E30. If your budget can stretch to it, there's a lovely 318iS that with the exceptions of a few choice additions/upgrades is more or less standard and very well speced. Pm me if you want me to send you a link to it.
