    What sort of MPG should one expect from the old land cruiser? Automatic/ manual Desiels?

    Haven't driven a manual but you can expect 27 on a good day from a 90 series 3.0 TD and a smidge more from the 120 series 3.0 D4D.

    You'll get about 21 from the 4.2 100 series.

    Yep, those figures are right. 5 speed manuals obviously aren't as good on fuel as 6 speed, and the D-4D is slightly better than the TD.

    i'm getting about 35mpg in my 04 lc3 ,doing abot 50miles a day good mix of motorway and city:)
