AVMSD advertising Consultation: Ends Friday

    As you know the TVWF Directive is being replaced by the Audiovisual Media Services Directive.

    The BAI are now looking for opinions on their Codes on Audiovisual Commercial Communications so that they may transpose the AVMSD into Irish Law under the Broadcasting Act 2009.

    IMO the BAI are cutting it about 2 months to late and that while the AVMSD doesn't have to be transposed until Dec 19 2009 that all consultation should be finished long ago.
