    MSB's St Patrick's Festival 5K is on Sunday 14th March 2010 afaik.

There is a 5 mile road race in Meath on 17th March if you want to travel a bit further.

The organisation of races during this period is a disgrace. Varsities XC on the 13th, the Munster Senior roads on the 14th and then the 5K on the 14th also. However I'm afraid Icannot say that this is a first.

Should there only be one race in the country every week? I can't run Munster or varsities. Why should having a road race in Dublin be a disgrace?

Good point. This 'fixture clash' will affect you if you are a student from Munster club who will run road and country championship races and even though you are a student and are likely to be poor (!) but will still be able to travel up from Munster for a race in Dublin on Paddy's weekend. Mmmm, I'd imagine not too many runners will fit into this category.
