Hello all, having invested in quality AEGs I am now ready to add some quality accessories to them and top of my list is a clone EO Tech holosight. Having done a bit of research it appears that there are some brands that should definitely be avoided, but what's harder to find is compelling evidence in favour of any particular brand/model. What I am looking for here are first-hand recommendations from users of 551/552/553 clones, not only what brands/models but also sources (preferably Irish retailers).

Many thanks in advance for any advice offered.

Got this while I was in Hong Kong, been using it on the M4 for over 4 months now. Very clear and has auto shut off after 2 minutes.

And if you are investing in a EoTech, I would suggest you to get one of these,

Better safe than splashing out for another EoTech.

Oh, finally, I remember someone mentioning to me that the Irish Customs loves these sights and many of them were held for one reason or another. So you many want to order it locally. I have seen one in Eirsoft.

Tony in Eirsoft does them alright although I think they might be out of stock ATM - best to check with the lads.

Toy Soldier Airsoft in Belfast has the 551 & 552 for £65 sterling. Had a look at them in the shop last time I was there and the quality seems good (the only thing that prevented me from buying one there & then was lack of funds!:o). I think shipping is a tenner IIRC so that's about €84 to your door which is not bad at all!

I have this one and it's pretty damn good; the green is a tiny bit blurred but the red is great. That cover is crap though and you might as well just bin it.

It doesn't matter what clone eotech you buy. They're all made in the same place. I have 557 myself as I wanted the buttons on the side instead of the rear.
