Hey, so Im wondering is it worth the effort to organise a J1 outside of the main student travel companies?
Would there be any advantages to this?
    Has anyone here done it?

You can't.If there are visa companies (like sayit, usit and go4less) in your country then you have no other choice but to go with one of those. The companies in America won't allow it otherwise! (interexchange and CIEE).
