Does anyone know what’s the real story with the Andy Lee & Emanuel Steward relationship?

I can realise that Emanuel wasn’t in Lee’s corner at the weekend because he had a contractual agreement with HBO, the money would obviously been good, however for someone like Manny staying in the spot light would be important also. For surely money reasons he’s right to do the HBO work as I’d strongly say it’s a lot more than the 10-20% or whatever he gets from Andy’s purses.

Even if Manny wasn’t going to be in Andy’s corner for the fight surely he still should have been training Andy in the lead up to the fight but it was Joey Gamache who took Lee under his watchful eye for the four week camp, that’s concerns me somewhat. Granted he gets better sparing partners in New York but there must be the odd middleweight knocking about Detroit that would do?!

What all seems strange to me is that Manny and Andy’s relationship seemed like father and son, granted Manny didn’t do Andy any favours by the constant hyping but I’m sure he knew that Andy’s profile had to be risen. They lived together and seemed to get on very well. Has Manny seen something to say Andy mightn’t be the prospect that he thought he would be

So that leaves me with the obvious question is the Andy and Manny partnership no more??

hasnt Gamache been in the corner for most of andys fights in Ireland as cut guy

Andy is now trained by Joey Gamache and managed by Manny Steward, that's it really.

Even with the flaws Andy showed last Saturday, it's not like they weren't there already under Steward so in a way it hasn't done him harm.
