farm insurance

    well lads,

    the question is im going to buy a van and i dont want to give quinn 3k (me being 17) so does anyone know how much it would be to insure a van (wroth 2k) on the farm insurance, the farm being with fbd

    Can't be done I'm afraid, if you're going to drive the van on the road you need a motor policy and at seventeen I'd say Quinn is the only company who'll quote you. No easy way around it, you'll just have to bite the bullet and hope it comes down a bit over the next couple of years.

    if the farm already has a jeep or such get the insurance co to put the loading for being a young driver on to this, provided that you are already a named driver on said motor, this used to work a few years back, hole might be closed by now
    if not get the van as a farm car and become a named driver
