Just wondering has anyone had to source a turbo for a 320D recently, and had any luck online?? BMW are quoting insane money for this part...

sorry to hear that. Did you try a well-known Dublin independent BMW garage? I'm wary of naming names, for fear I'll get in trouble, but I can PM you if you like.

The OP will be fitting the turbo himself. He is just looking for a price for the turbo.

Kind of on the fence with it at the moment, don't want to go back on the spanners, have a business idea that is web based and I think it might suit me better than running an indy garage, I still have a full head of hair and would like to keep it that way!!! ;-)

The 320D turbo is for another mate, he got quoted 2.5K for a turbo from BMW, just trying to see if there are any options out there, not a big BMW man as you know! :D:D:D

Yeah this guy just wants the part, I'll fit it myself if I could get the part at the right price for him...

what year and mileage is on the 320D?

havent heard of one single case of turbo failure on the E90 since the known problems with the earlt E46 150bhp versions.

my E90 had 121k and remapped to 190bhp and had no problems at all. maybe BMW Ireland can give a contribution??? i know a guy that got one on his E46.

Try Tom Cooney in Portlaoise Turbo's, ph. 0578620514
I haven't bought anything myself but a co-worker says he's the cheapest in the Republic.

EDIT: This thread seem to have gone OT bitching about ollie320d's post about so to avoid getting lost in the childishness, I've highlighted my post.

    Hi,

My Turbo went three days ago, does anyone know where I can acquire a turbo? The mechanic reckons* its not worth fixing but I need to, I already owe too much money. There is a sensor on the fuel rail also broken. If anybody has any ideas I would appreciate the help.

    Regards,

You bumped a week old thread for that? I hope you had a good night out.

If you have nothing to add then don't bother posting
