Driver problem

    How ye lads. I just formatted a lappie that Im fixing, normally dont fix computers when it isnt mine but sure ay aswell help a friend out. Anyways me being stupid forgot to check what make/model the cd/dvd rom was and now it only has the generic windows drivers on it. It doesnt know that its a dvd rom aswell as a CD rom. any way of finding out the make of it? I had software ages ago that tells ya everything about your lappy/comp but for the life of me I cant remember the name of it.
