Skiing in Austria New Years Eve

    Hi,

    I've knocked Tignes on the head, and instead booked flights to Austria for the NYE week!

    I am considering the following resorts;

    Hintertux
    Soelden
    Obergurgl

    Any tips on pros & cons and likely snow conditions?

    Soelden has 2 glaciers, yet I would expect be very crowded?

    (I like the size of this resort, & fact they have a ski test centre apparently you can test alot of new gear, yet have no idea of snow record)

    Obergurgl while its supposed to have a good snow record, does not have a glacier?

    (is this resort a little off the beaten track & therefore culd be quieter?)

    Intertux has a glacier...

    (I know nothing else)

    God, the choices!!

    Any tips on past experiences with the above would be great...

    love the username unga bunga :D

    you should check out obertauern also. its not too well know over these parts it would seem but its a great resort and had good snow over christmas/new year when i was there. If you go be sure and night ski - they do it once a week amazing!! Good apreski resort also.
