B1 VW Passat parts needed

    anyone have or can anyone offer any leads towards a bonnet and hatchback lid for a '76 Passat (B1/mk1). I might need a left side door and front wing too.
    In fact, I'd consider a complete car as a donor if there's one going...

    any hints?

    ah I was looking for a pre '80 mk1 Golf 5 door diesel (or at least one I could put a diesel in) and couldn't turn one up. I came close when one popped up right here but it got blown up by a film company :mad: . So I put the feelers out amongst friends and one suggested this '76 Passat he has waiting for resto. It's a 1.6 petrol but that's easily sorted. The body is mostly solid but the bonnet/bootlid are shagged. I'm not having much luck sourcing replacements, yet anyway. There's an Audi 80 in that "Ye Olde Irish Scrapyard" thread that would donate a bonnet to the project (amongst other bits). I have an enquiry in to see if it could be got...
