regular posters may remember my post about my finding my first love after 20 + years and being in daily contact with him.after getting some great advice and comments(thanks all), i bit the bullet and emailed him.panic then set in of course and fully expected never to hear from him again.however, he has acknowledged that i have "dropped this bombshell" and has remained in almost daily contact since.i have had several phone calls and we chat online.it feels very comfortable, but the bombshell has'nt been mentioned since.still feeling quite confused but i have to say that confessing my feelings was the right thing to do for me.
any thoughts or comments for me?? you've all been so helpful before:)

:confused:do'nt know what i'm asking!!!!!! is he being polite or is there any hope??
he was always a nice guy,who just would'nt be rude to someone.i'd love to meet up with him, but do'nt want to appear like a complete bunny boiler!however i do know (pre bombshell) that he was worried i would'nt like him when we met,as its been such a long time.

If he is single and you are single then go for it

Harps90 I'm the girl you said is in the same situation as you were 20 years ago i.e. breaking up with a guy and then regretting it! It's super you went ahead with telling him how you feel and he's still in contact yay!!

Asking him to meet up definitely isn't in anyway "bunny boiler"! Ah you're after giving me hope now maybe my ex will forgive me someday... and before all the boardsies jump in telling me to get over it, I know, I know  Keep us updated on the situation!

If he's single and you are with no partners or kids to get hurt sure just ask him if he would like to meet up for a coffee some afternoon.

Early enough that either of you can either make excuses and leave or continue on for a meal somewhere if you want to. There is or should be no real sense of commitment or anything else in meeting for a coffee - but it would allow you both to get some eye-to-eye perspective.

Hope it works out for you. If he is just being nice - then you might just have found a really great friend - but who knows - until you two talk it is all up in the air.
