Lane Coaching Dublin

    Hi!

I am new to boards.ie, so, I hope this question has not been asked too many times before.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend some pools (preferably around the city centre / south city) that do lane coaching? I am slowly getting back into swimming (I used to swim fairly regularly as kid) but am not sure if I am ready to commit to joining and training with a club - lots of other sports on the go!

I tried out the lane coaching in the pool in MeadowBrook last night and it was great but their times for the rest of the week are not very suitable, Wednesday and Friday @7.15 in the morning. I work in the city centre and have a boss who is not very flexible about time, well, mine not his!

    Any advice, tips, suggestions appreciated.

    Thanks! Katie

You could try the pool in Trinity..don't know if they do lane coaching. You would have to sign up to join the gym for the year..not sure exactly how much that is

There is also the Mespil pool, again don't know if they have what you are looking for but could be worth talking to

    Thanks Bobzee!

I was a member of TCD a few years ago, but, don't really want to join up again, I don't think I really got the value out of the pool for the money it cost to join for a year.

But, I will definitely check out mespil and see if they offer any pay as you go lane coaching.

    Thanks, K

you could also try Belvedere College pool in the am. 25m school pool. Structured sessions rather than coached as such by Tony Morris. The main set is from 7am to 7.45 but the pool is open from 6:30 to 8:30ish I think. It is 7 euro pay as you go. There is a mix of sets to suit abilities from 100s on 1:30 up to 100s on 2.00 at least. Good session

    Hi metal_dog!

That sounds pretty perfect, on the right side of town too!

Hopefully there will be a set to suit my ability.

    Thanks for the info!

    K
