india and nepal

    hey all,

    planning a trip to india and nepal next summer should be there by the end of the august. i know there its monsoon season will this effect trekkin in nepal badly?

    Since it is sub continent i presume there are palce that wont be washed out of it during august and september?

    anywhere thaty shoudl be on a must do list for india ?

    You could go trekking during the monsoon and have nice sunny weather (most of the time) or you could get rained on a lot and have the amazing views ruined. The monsoon is an unknown quantity and some years are better than others. That said it would rarely ruin a trek so bad that you regretted doing it just because of the rain.
    I know this doesnt really answer your question but it just cant be predicted. All I can say is that Ive treked twice in Nepal during the monsoon and havent regretted it one bit.
    Also consider that you will have absolutely no crowds on the trails at that time of year which for many is the real bonus about trekking in the off season.
