At your peak? Youre still a bloody young fella for Christ sake. Never one for heavy practice but could go through 100 balls without a problem.

Pros certainly dont hit 1000 balls a day! Some might on occasion they are changing something but that many balls can be counter-productive.

A pro will break up his day between long game, short game and putting.
My own way is to hit 150 balls a day broken up into 3 sessions of 50, each session would be exactly the same,that way boredom dosnt set in! Im lucky that im at a range all day so it makes it easy. But quality rather than quantity is hugely important in practice.

When I was younger we had a practice ground and I would stay there for at least 2 hours hitting irons. I reckon that I would hit up to 500 balls in that time.

I had to collect them all so I'd chip them towards my bag before rounding them up for the next session.

I usally hit the ball about 80 times, give or take 2 or 3 shots.
Sometimes 2 or more balls to reach the same total........

is that a total of 100 over the whole summer?
I'd see a doctor if my hands became sore after that or maybe wear a pair of mittens

where are you getting your facts from on pro's hitting 1000 balls ?

Their is a mistake i meant a 100 balls a day over the summer holidays, not over the summer, my bad dudes

hhmm so you made a mistake,if that was the case why would you make reference to the fact that your hands would be sore from hitting just 100 balls,
