Winterboard theme icons

I've tried a lot of different winterboard themes, generally haven't stuck with any for more than a day and so have deleted them all. Downloaded a few yesterday just to try them and noticed something surprising about the icons. Ususally all of the icons for the apps that come with the phone are changed into new themed ones, and most were, but this time, none changed the 'messages' app, which I find very surprising because everyone's got it, and so should be one of the first to get a new icon. I found it strange for the first theme, and more so when I saw that none of the others changed it either!
I did have other app icons that didn't change, but I would expect that. Anyone know why this might happen? Could it have something to do with the fact that i use 5 icon dock?

    Cheers

Might be because the theme you installed was made before 3.0 came out which apple changed "text" to "messages"

    Ah yes!
Do you know any way around this? Would renaming fix it? Is it possible to rename an app?

you can ssh your way into the phone, find the theme and rename the icon. google it and you'll find full instructions.

rename the icon called 'text' or 'sms' to 'messages'
