Looking for a bit of advice...

If I wanted to do office docs, surf the net, download photo's from digi camera, watch the odd bit of TV/movies, listen to music...

Would a netbook do the trick?

(I know the small size creates a usability issue - but presumably a keyboard/mouse and monitor could be used when at home. The netbook below has all the necessary connections for that)

The one I'm looking at is:

The spec looks powerful enough for purpose to me although that said I'm not that informed about the Intel Atom chips and what they are like.

Would appreciate advice as this is for a present.

    Cheers,
    N

Netbooks have no DVD/CD Driver, so it can play a DVD/CD.

hmm okay...that would make installing things a pain in the ass I guess...

Could still stream movies over the network though or from a usb HD, assuming the onboard graphics are up to it. Any idea's if they are?
