as of today lidl outlets have a ski/snowboard wear sale http://www.lidl.ie/ie/home.nsf/pages/c.o.20091116.index .... some of the base layer stuff(ski vests) are fine for golf also the re-usable heat packs(the ones you bend the piece of metal) for €2.49 are very handy........no pun intended

might try the soft shell jacket myself €14 how bad

Thanks for the heads up - those vests look like just the job for the winter (if it ever stops raining and my course opens up again).
Be careful with the jackets though - I bought a waterproof cycling jacket from Lidl last year and planned on using it for golf. It's waterproof alright but the back is really long to stop the splatter from the wheels when your cycling. It just looked ridiculous when I put it on, a bit like those fishtail parkas that were all the rage when I was in school!

The snowboard trousers are good on the cold/wet days I got a pair in TK Max 2years ago they're lined and waterproof

theres a reason its called ski gear folks but if ye wish to embarrass ye'reselves out on the course go for it
why not get a ski jacket as well, for those days when the temp drops below zero like

Conno, nice to see you've learned so much from your last ban. True to form you'll probably vanish pretty soon again! b:cool:

got a pair of nike ski pants last winter and wore them a lot, they're great for the cold mornings, the ones i have are insulated and have a few pockets on them, picked them up in the nike outlet store in banbridge for around 25sterling.
they look something like these ones but not as baggy
