Router concern

    I use a netgear DG834G router, I've had a couple of suspicious disconnects only 4 or 5 over the last 4 months.

    That model router displays a green light for DSL, Wireless and internet, the odd time I'll lose DSL ( very rare ) and I understand this as a service loss from my ip.

    The suspicious one is when DSL is ok but I get a red light for Internet, when this happens I log on to a router page and try reconnecting but get no response.

    Should I be concerned about this?
    Is there a way to check whats going on during this type of disconnect?

    I have only rudimentry pc skills so dumbed down advice would be very much appreciated:o
