Hey guys, i know this has probably been asked previously but can anyone clear it up for me>>>>

I didnt join anywhere this year for several different reasons,
i will however be joining a club if not my previous club come Janurary,
My question is: Am i entitled to use my previous handicap in AM-AMs this year? and also will i just get my previous handicap if i join somewhere ntext year?

As you are no longer afiliated with the GUI. Due to the fact you havent paid your GUI fees. You are not allowed play off the handicap as it does not exist. However when you join a club next year your handicap will be taken into conscideration.

I think that if you don't continue with a membership, your handicap will lapse after 6 months so that if you join next year then you may be asked to submit 3 cards and get a 'new' handicap. I'd write a letter or speak to the handicap secretary of the new club outlining the situation and if I were the secretary you'd be resuming where you left off (unless your cards deserved a lower handicap).
No idea on the Am-Am thing.. if they require an official handicap then I guess not.

When I mean it lapses after 6 months, I mean that when you are not a member anywhere then you can't have an official handicap but were you to re-join within 6 months then your old handicap would be resumed... at least that's my understanding of things.

You are correct, 3 cards need to be submitted for new h/c
