Help on changing Career

    Hi,

I've been working in accounts for last few years. I just happened to fall into this line of work and have always had intentions of changing career to do something more fulfilling & rewarding like helping people and/or communities.

I am currently attending a part-time course in Social Science (diploma) but I intend to continue and take the 4 yr Bachelors Degree course in social science or possibly criminology.

The career I'm most interested in is Crime Prevention and would like to work for the National Crime Council or Department of Justice, Equality and law reform.

The first step is education which I've taken but I don't now where to go from here.

With the recession I don't expect to be changing careers any time soon but would like to the ball rolling

    Anyone have any advice? Tks

Best bet would be to keep educating yourself away, take note of every seminar attended and every certificate received. Get volunteer work in your community at weekends. Keep you regular job until the public service start hiring again and off you go.
