Mods can delete this if neccesary.

    Credit to BH :)

Just seen this in the Noble/Sheamus powerbomb thread
    Has noble actually retired?

WWE.com says he has, although it does seem to be just the article that had already been posted here saying he had considerd it after the attack by Sheamus with the added title Jamie noble has retired.

obviously that suggests that yes he has but if so im surprised more hasnt been made of it, infact if its true it deserves a thread of its own. I'd assume he is just done in ring and will go on as a road agent.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/wrestling/2723358/WWE-star-Jamie-Noble-has-retired-from-wrestling.html Not very reliable, I know but this is 1 thing I found

Could be, all I know is that he works behind the scene

nice for Sheamus to be able to claim to be the guy that "retired" Noble also. I dont think the masses will ever appreciate just how good noble was but ill be sad to see him go and would have loved to have seen him used better in recent years in the WWE, although with no cruiserweight title about i suppose him not being pushed is a bit more understandable.

and yes as far as i know he has primarily been a road agent the past while for WWE hense me mentioning it in the post quoted in the OP

Easily the most under used great talent the WWE has ever had at their disposal. The guy had it all in the ring and could actually talk a bit also. Anyone who thinks I am gone soft in saying the above, just take a look at his 2004/5 ROH work.

I'm sad seeing him go. He did so much for the cruserweight division. I can remember his feud with Rey at the end of '03/begining of '04, they were some great matches. Anyone remember his blind girlfriend Nidia??:D:)

remember Nidia (think she originally came from one of the first Diva searches) but not the blind angle that she must have been part of. Always remember her as being portrayed as a trashy trawler park girl that noble adored.

Nidia was from Tough Enough, that stuff was funny for awhile,Noble is a great wrestler but he wasn't really wrestling anyway so why not focus full time on his backstage job

aww yeah Tough enough, actually quite liked that myself.

I'd say this shows that Sheamus has impressed far more than just HHH backstage though as tbh Noble didnt need to call time on his career, he could have just continued to do the occasional shift when needed but instead gave the big fellah quite the rub, even if it is only a really big rub to smarks.

Noble and Nidia as a pair of trailer trash hicks were brilliant.

Yeah, I really liked that angle with Nidia and Noble. Thought Nidia was much better than him playing the role though

Noble is unreal. Easily one of the top ten workers in the world given the chance.

Isn't this all just a work though, or has the retirement been made more official?

I definitely heard (the observer? Can't remember), that the injury etc is a work- but It's been done because although Steamboat is an agent, they aren't using him so much in the ring, and want Noble to fit into that role a bit more. I guess it's somewhat open ended though, should they scrap that.
