your in for a treat mate, its fantastic my fav golf course in ireland ,you will get an idea why when you stand on the first tee box, holes one, three, four, eight , ten, eleven, thirteen, seventeen are crackers. the rest are great aswell only weak holes are nine and eighteen.

You'll find at least one thread on here waxing lyrical about the course.

Sweetswing left out 12, 15 and 16 as good holes and he's spot on with the two weak holes.

If you go - I think a two-ball pay €50 on a Tues or Wedn - let us know if the clubhouse is open yet.

Yes. Definitely play it. Spectacular. Is in great shape.
Clubhouse wasnt open a few weeks ago but didnt look far off it. Great views.
Shareholders have been asked to inject another 500,000, so there must be more plans in the pipeline. I remember talk of a hotel etc for it some years ago, but would have thought that would be on the long finger at the moment.

Thanks 1916. A shame really, they keep pushing that date back.

They were working 'goodo' on it when I played in Sept. Asked the Course manager when it was opening, he said it probably won't be until March'10. Structure is nearly complete on outside, guess inside fit-out could be costly
