I was in Tenerife in January a couple of years back. It was 20-22 most days (we were able to sunbathe comfortably) but it got quite cold at night, I didn't have enough warm clothes for night-time and was freezing!

www.wunderground.com and www.weather.com will give you historical temperatures for anywhere you care to know about :).

thats the average temp they give, but obv with the weather it can change.

evenings will be pretty cold tho, wouldnt be like what it would in the summer , so bring jackets etc

I was in the canaries two years ago for new year's. Weather was good - similar to an average summer here - chilly in the evenings, good sun but can have a chill in the breeze - best heat in a sheltered area. Overall though during the day it's shorts and sandals, nighttime you'd need a jacket/jumper.

    Hi MN,

I was in Tenerife end of November last year and it was pretty much mid twenties all the time. Got cooler a night alright, but it was agreeable enough all told. One BIG plus is that there are much less people there in Winter so getting around is much easier, as is getting into restaurants. (That being said, given the drop in numbers, their clipboard guys on the promenades are fairly aggressive which is a pain in the arse if you just want to left alone).

You could try emailing this guy here:

I did, last year and he gave me some good steers to be fair to him.

    Regards,
    AK
