I have triax magic eye set up so I could watch sky on a second tele but recently the light has gone out on it and it has stopped working. Because I've had it for about 3 years I figured its probably knackered so bought a new one. But same problem no light is coming on to indicate thats its on and the remote won't work. I don't think its the cable thats the problem connecting the tele to the wall because sky is still showing on the tele I just can't change channels from this room! Any suggestions?

It sounds like a bad connection, especially if you have changed the eye and still no luck.

Check all the connections and make sure they are tight. Then check that the rf power is turned on the box by doing the following

    Press services
    press no 4
then press 0,1 select in succession

You will now be in a hidden menu

Press no 4 rf tuning and check rf power is switched to on. If it is click save if not turn it on and click save.

Check the cable going to the secondry room is coming out of rf2 at the back of the box and not rf1.

Lastly unplug the box for two minutes and plug it back in, sometimes this will get the magic eye working again..

    Hope that helps.

Steveon - I have followed the above instructions, the light is on at the back of the second TV but i am not getting SKY on the second tv. How do I tune the second TV to receive SKY. I have flicked through all the channels and also tried to tune it in but nothing seems to work. Should this automatically come through?

If it worked before, then it should work now on the same channel.

Otherwise, check the RF frequency/channel on the Sky box :

And then manually tune one of the second TV's presets to that frequency/channel (the steps required for this vary depending on the model of TV).

The rf2 is turned on and thats the connection the cable is coming out of aswell. I'll try unplugging the box when I get home hopefully that will work! I'd love if it just something simple!! Thanks for all ye're responses!

Edit: It has decided to work aftering being upluggged!!Thanks for the help

You will need to tune your tv...if you follow the steps I listed above you can set the freq you wish the sky box to come out on. You will then need to tune in the tv to that frequency or channel no. What make tv have you got?? If its a modern tv then you may have to select Pal "I" in the tuning settings..
