Has anyone done a day/evening with Karl Morris (or similar) with their club?

Just wondering if anyone's club teams have done something with this guy, what the session might entail, what it costs etc.

Seems like a worthwhile endeavour to me for Barton Cup/Junior/Senior at least.

I'm reading his book at the minute, (the one with Darren Clarke). Only halfway through but the book isn't great, very patchy and repetative, although I reckon he would be much better in person.

    Hey Sheet,

I've done a couple of the half day ones out in Carton but on an individual basis. It varied hugely as to what people get out of it, there was a good mix of pros, 'amateurs' and a range of handicaps but mainly low handicapped. Each session could be different however.

I found I took away some simple ideas from the putting session which i still use, there is a chance that:

    (a) You've heard the tricks before, or
    (b) they just don't float your boat

I would say that I found it useful as it was proactive and any attempt to improve your game is worthwhile. He is a terribly nice fella and is full of reference to the guys he coaches, especially McDowell. He travels over here quite a bit and I'm pretty sure one of the club teams had spent the morning with him during his visit. Can't see how it would be a bad idea for your teams...

I feel alot of people are spending money on something that's not delivering anything like the benefits pitched by those who stand to make money from it.

Have to agree, nothing that a good book wouldn't help with of you're into that type of thing.

I'm not personally but each to their own.

Well I figured there'd be benefit for the top end club teams in getting the guy to specifically advise on foursomes matchplay, singles matchplay and the general stuff that comes with club team golf.

    Maybe it's not worth it.
