    Alright,
I'm getting a tube amp but finding a hard time to decide what to get.
At the moment I'm between this 4, at the beginning I was heading for the Vox but those Fender look good too

    Vox AC15
    Hot Rod Deluxe
    Deluxe Vintage Modified
    Blues Deluxe

any tips, reviews, comments are welcome.
any 2nd hand offer welcome too

I have the Hot Rod Deluxe. It sounds lovely clean and takes pedals really well, but the distortion channel is garbage.
I'd recommend it, but only if you have a decent OD/Dist pedal (or prefer playing clean).

You could also look at the Peavey Classic, if you haven't already.

Had a Hot Rod Deluxe (too friggin' loud for small gigs though), sold it, great amp, played the Blues Deluxe and I have to say I prefer it to the HotRod....
Played an AC-30 with my Epi Dot and its a lethal good combination, can only imagine the AC15 would almost be similar...

Peavey Classic is an amazing wee amp for the money, defo check them out...also,the VOX Cambridge its got a 12AX7 in its preamp and is a cracking amp , great tone out of that puppy and you can get them cheap..

All good amps dude, if you are a decent player, you'll sound great through any of those amps...

Peavey Classic or Blues Deluxe Reissue.

Have had both. Similar amps and both sound fantastic. The BDR is LOUD!

I have the Blues Deluxe reissue. And it's a great amp, never use the gain channel, just use the clean channel with OD pedals. I love it, but sweet jebus it's loud! Seriously, blow your eardrums kinda loud! If i was buying again i'd get something smaller tbh.
15 watts valve seems to be the sweet spot imo. Loud enough for small gigs, and any of the bigger venues will have PA so you're sorted. The Blues Junior should definitely be one to consider!

i have the blues deluxe reissue. yeah, it is loud. I was going to go for an AC 30 in the future (maybe), but the fender is nice.

I've been playing with a Vox VT15AD and for small gig it starts to give an unpleasant distortion. I was thinking maybe the Vox AC15 is going to be too small too.
I was almost heading directly for the Deluxe Reissue, now starting to incline for the AC15 again
I play an Epiphone Dot :)

you'll have no problems gigging with an AC-15 if your playing slighty dirty and not looking for "country cleans"
I'd definitely go with a twin speaker model to fill out the sound a bit
the only real reason to up the wattage is if you need more clean headroom
plus sound engineers will love you for not using a 100 watt halfstack that they can mix right in a small venue

it's easy to make a really nice sounding small amp louder (as Al said let the P.A do the work!)
it's quite difficult to get a big amp into it's sweet spot if you only have the vol on 2

I'd agree with what's been said, 15watts valve is enough for small gigs. You can really drive the amp without getting too loud, and there's no better sound than an overdriven valve amp.

Vox AC 15 would be great, Blues Jr etc.

There is a huge difference in volume between a 15 watt valve amp and a 15watt solid state. A 15watt solid state amp is about as loud as a 15watt valve with the volume at around 1.5 :-)

And where solid state distortion is to be avoided at all costs, valve distortion is the holy grail.

I haven't used an AC15 but I reckon a lower-watt version of the AC30 would pretty much kick the ass of any Hot Rod, or that Deluxe. I don't like the sound of either of those amps - they always seemed a little nasal to me. The Resissue Blues Deluxe is based on a reputably great amp, so I reckon that's also worth a look.

15 watts in a valve amp is pretty loud, so I wouldn't worry in that respect.
