I was just discussing this with my mate in pub. You know how we get Asian people of Chinese, Japanese etc descent in USA, Canada, Ireland, Australia etc, that are 2nd or 3rd generation and have the local accent, customs etc.
Do you think there are any white people in Japan or China that had caucasian parents/grandparents and are now totally integrated into the society, i.e. have full on Chinese/Jap accents, went to local schools, etc.
I reckon there MUST be at least a few of them? No? Are there any examples anyone can find?

Impossible. Gene dominance will not allow this to happen. Some chromosones are dominant, like the chromosone for brown eyes. What you would have over time is just a slightly differant asian person, you wouldn't have a caucasian white dominant type person.

Of course, if these people kept their own race, then it is possible, but unlikely.

To be perfectly honest the most common thinking among who you seem to think are pinko-liberals is that in EU terms we have freedom of movement to other EU countries, as do other EU nationals, refugees should have their cases heard etc. etc. all under international agreements. If that line of thinking makes liberal then it looks like I'm not as right-leaning as I and most people I know think I am.:rolleyes:


Back OT, from what I've heard and come across there are a small number of second generation Caucasians in Japan, bilingual mostly.

You're talking a load of bollocks there mate, Japan certainly has tighter and more sensible Immigration control, but I've been there, and there's plenty of white people and others living there. Some parts of Tokyo I've been to are very multicultural, you see quite a lot of black people around there as well. I know quite a few people personally who've emigrated there.

I hate it when people talk about Japan as some kind of immigration-fascist wet dream. It's not, and you're talking bollocks.

I've lived in Japan for a number of years, as have a great number of friends. In my experience, Japan does discriminate against foreigners to a huge degree. Foreigners are stopped on the street, searched illegally for no reason, and generally treated like second class citizens. Take, for example, the mandatory finger-printing of foreigners entering the country. This was brought in as a counter-terrorism measure. And yet, the only terrorism attacks of any significance in Japan have been perpetrated by native Japanese people (the Tokyo subway gas attack, for example).

That said, Japan's a lovely country, and the people are generally nice too. Their racism is born more out of ignorance or fear than any darker motive.

Well people of European descent have been living in deeper Asia for centuries so i'd imagine some families with their roots in Europe may still exist somewhere with little mixing with people of Asian descent. There's plenty of "white" children being born in the major cities of Asia with the numbers of Europeans living there these days so perhaps these will grow to adopt the culture.

It's always something i can't get my head around. You can imagine Africans and Asians as the different European ethnic groups but i'd be confused if someone with two white European parents was a proud Chinese or Japanese person. Not that they grew up with that background but it's just so rare or at least unseen that it takes a while to get the head around it i guess.

You're the one talking absolute rubbish. Japanese people make up 98.5% of the population. The vast majority of the other 1.5% is made up of other east asians.

That's true about the nightclubs. My friend went there for a few weeks and no white people were allowed into ANY of the nightclubs they tried to go to.

I am a liberal and am completely against uncontrolled immigration. The fact that mass immigration is happening in the first place shows there's something wrong with the world. We need to loosen trade barriers, spread the wealth around the world. Otherwise mass immigration will continue unabaited.
Look at the usa, they're failing hilariously at controlling immigration. And then look at mexico, it's next door neighbour and how dirt-poor it is compared to the usa.

It's the right-wingers who refuse to address the problem at it's source who are the most brainless tbh.

The japanese are very proud of their culture, some to the point of be blantantly racist, but this is mostly a minority the older generation. I was there over the summer and can say that the japanese are some of the nicest people on earth. I got plenty of "white guy" reactions yeh, mostly just geurilla english practice though... most of them are great and id gladly live there.
