What happened Appleworks?

    Got a new MacBookPro - still using the old white MacBook - and :eek: no Appleworks!!!! I rely on Appleworks for making diagrams! Can't do them in Word to save my life! What happened??

    It was discontined in 2007. I think it was integrated into the iWork suite.

    Yeah, iWork has filled the gap for the most part, but it lacks the drawing/painting capabilities that Apple/ClarisWorks had. I think Pages has some vector drawing but it's pretty limited.

    Openoffice works like a charm. So does Symphony.

    Dont know what you want to draw but maybe Sketchup will work ( the free version ).

    Thanks for that. I'll look into it. Diagrams usually which I then copy & paste into Powerpoint. Am driven demented with Powerpoint arrows, can never get them the right size or direction, especially if I need curved ones....which I often do for feedback loops. Used to do them all in the Draw documents of Appleworks.
