    Hi there

Could someone post up some drills for practicing and improving body position, arm/leg movements in the sidestroke? I cant seem to find any online for some reason.

    Much appreciated :)

One of the main advantages of sidestroke, is that you can use it very easily when towing, pulling, pushing, resuscitating etc, I wouldn't do excessive amounts of the stroke on its own, as you'll find its quite tough on the back, even when done properly.
On drills, try legs only with a kickboard, head flat on kickboard arm to get body position up in the water, but the leg kick can be quite deep and still have a lot of power, the arm stroke is pretty straightforward, vary your sweep in some sculling drills will only help, treading water using that kick with your hands straight up in the air will definitely be of some benefit. Because sidestroke hasn't developed with the competitive strokes, there isn't much material available. Irish water safety may have some drills available, try there.
