    Hey Hey,

So this WIFI problem on the iPhone post upgrade and jailbreak has REALLY been doing my nut in. Partly because I keep on forgetting, going Internet happy and gobbling up all my credit!

Like most I started off with no problems, then occasionally it started to disconnect, but now its gone completely. Rebooted a million times, reset network settings another million. Tried everything including the static IP trick. No joy.

Anyways, I'm no like iPhone expert but I figured out its all a glitch with the native WIFI process built into the OS.... Seems to just stop.

So got thinkng maybe a WIFI app for the AppStore would help. It does :)

One I got was called WiFiTrak and cost about 79c but there's prob a few free ones if ya search.

It scans and sees all networks no problem and connected quickly too.
Only problem is if ya let your phone go asleep (lock itself and go dark) the iPhone OS will disconnect ya again and your back to square one. Just run the wifi app again and your back though.

So bottom line, find yourself a WIFI app, and use it to connect each time ya need to use WIFI.

Hopefully apple will release a proper fix soon :D

    Hope this helps guys!

EDIT: Just though, maybe running the app with backgrounder could help. I'll test and find out.

Good idea as an interim fix til Apple get the finger out!
I like the backgrounder idea but your battery might not.

    Update guys...

I only need to run this app only once a day now.

Rest of the time, iPhone picks up wifi itself :)
