Adding Videos To Posts

If I want to add a video to my post do I have to put something in brackets around the web address or just post the web address as normal in the post or what? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

In the response box you see this icon

It creates these brackets:
[YOUT.UBE][/YOUT.UBE]

From address http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pXt5_aM1t4 only put the last bit in (9pXt5_aM1t4
)

[.YOUTUBE]9pXt5_aM1t4[/YOUTUB.E]
becomes:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pXt5_aM1t4
