Licence Question

    Hi Guys,

I have a query regarding my licence. I had a provisional Licence years ago (10+) and let it expire. I took my motorbike test and received a full Type A Licence. I can drive a car, had lessons and was drving on a provisional for a few years without a problem before getting into bikes but would like to know the following:

Q1. Will I get issued another Learner Permit and keep the Full A Licence?
Q2. Will this Learner Permit be issued as a first time Licence, even though I have held a Provisional Licence before thus causing me to have to wait 6 months before passing my test and having to drive accompanied?

As I said already I can drive without any problem. Never had an accident or any points etc.

Any info on this is greatly appreicated as I need to try and get this sorted out.

    Thanks
    Aaron

As already mentioned, the answer is Yes to both questions. If your provisional license has been expired for over 5 years then you must start from scratch.

you'll have to re-do the theory and acquire a learners permit, meaning yes while sending away your competence form when you've passed you'll need an eyesight report done at the opticians to send along with your permit application :)
