    Morning all,

Can anyone recommend a good holiday for us and our 6month old baby and a set of grandparents?

Looking to head off in January.

    Somewhere warm and easy going.

I was thinking the south of France, Self Catering.

    Any opinions?

    Thanks,
    Wavey

I'm just back from Nice with our 3 month old.

To be fair, everywhere we went out to, restaurants were very accommodating. They moved tables as necessary. Even when they could have easily turned us away when busy. Well nearly everywhere... Pasta Basta, despite only having four diners said they couldn't make room for the buggy. Bizarre. I daresay in Summer when Nice is a lot busier businesses may not be so accommodating.

One other thing about travelling down there with a pram is if you were planning to take a train anywhere, the main train station in Nice has wheelchair stairlifts, but they don't work, so you have to carry buggy and baby up and down stairs to get to platforms and no stations we went to had any baby changing facilities. Still it's no biggie as it's not like you'll be on trains all the time!

January is a nice time of year down there, it's pleasant enough during the day but quite cold at night. Nowhere will be too crowded either so it makes for a very relaxing visit.
