Cheers guys! A lot less than what I expected, having looked at Carzone!

I think I'll hold onto it for another while! Wait for a lotto win!

Carzone prices are asking prices not selling prices. Carzone is also full of dreamers who's cars have been on sale for ages because they are too expensive.

Sorry to hijack this thread, just wondering if someone can shed some light on what this is worth?

    04 Rover 45, new model
    50k miles, NCT Dec 2011, Tax 02/10
1.4 Petrol, 2 owners including me.

I'm not going to take the figures on carzone as an indication cos they're not really reliable! ;)

My guess would be around €3.5/4k depending on condition. Long NCT and low mileage are a bonus but unfortunately will not increase it's value.

That's better than I thought. It was in good condition before I crashed it, just had the timing belt, water pump etc done last friday at a cost of €450 and crashed it on tuesday:mad:. It's probably (fingers crossed) gonna be a write off, so I'm wondering what I should expect the insurance co to offer me if (toes crossed also) it's a write off.

The new model 45 weren't afflicted with the dreaded head gasket problem, luckily for me...........well maybe not so much now :(

Cheers for the replies guys! :)

Insurance company will probably offer you half that amount initially.

Print out every advert you can find with a high asking price for one. It will help you getting their initial offer uped

The assessor must've been either new or drunk. Lucky for you! :D

That doesn't sound too bad considering it's the newer model, so is worth a good bit more than the OP's. What kind of damage was there? At least the seller was honest about it.
