    Hi All,
Hope someone can advise me on this situation.
My wife is probably going to lose her job in January, we are looking for advice before this happens.
    background:
Myself, my wife and two kids moved to the state late in 2006, I have worked for the same company for 8 years but moved to southern payrole in june 2006, we took out or mortgae from BOI in august 2006. My wife has worked for the same company in NI for twelve years.
The kids attend school in NI and we have never claimed child allowance because of this. I earn €40k per year the wife earns £28k.

Can someone advise us if she will be entitled to claim any benifits from the state?
We have mortgage protection which i think will pay out for 12 months.

Thanks for any help in advance.

borderpeople.ie may be able to help you with your enquiry. They have an email request part on their website and tend to get back really quick.
Altneratively if you call into your social welfare local office they should be able to answer your questions.
