Sony Blu-Ray Player, 4 BDs and 10 movie rental vouchers for €190.

Xtravision have a new Blu Ray player deal. They have the SOny BDP-S360, Slumdog Millionaire, Terminator (could be Salvation but just said Terminator), Angels and Demons and Star Trek along with 10 half price BD movie rental vouchers all for €189.99. This offer will be available from November 20 but you can pre-order now. There was quite a demand for a similar deal in XV last year (the deal last year was €250).

On a similar note, Ganleys of Athlone were selling some Sony BR player for €100. They didnt print the model number on the leaflet, but it was definitly a Sony. This was about a month ago so the deal may be over.

Same model is €199.00 in the Sony center in Cork.So quite a good deal,and good model, according to the online forums.

Is it definitely the S360? If so, game on. Just that the instore picture I thought it was the S300 on offer, didn't read it but it looked awful like an S300 in the picture. Definitely Terminator Salvation is included in the offer though.

The S300 is an ancient model isnt it? It definitly said the S360 on the sheet.

Blockbuster (who own XV) have a similar deal coming up in the UK. You can get the S360 Terminator Salvation, Slumdog, Night at The Museum 2 and Angels and D.emons for £150.
They also have the Samsung BDP-1580 with Wolverine, Terminator Salavation and The Fast and The Furious for £130. Probably the best deal IMO as it works out cheaper the movies are a bit better.

Surely not the S300! That was out in 2007 FFS!

Surely its the S360 or possibly S350, not a bad price at all either

oops! my bad. Aye, it was the s350 I meant I saw on the picture. The purple tinged front panel as opposed to the newer S360 with an all black front panel.
Anyhow, I'll go in tomorrow and look again, it's a good deal either way.

ummhhh seems like a good deal but the s350 gets mixed reviews here while the S360 seems to fair much better linky . anyone got one of these already and what do you think of it ?

I got the s350 great player but last year you got 6 blu rays with it for 250 so thay have not went that much

4 titles in the box and register online with Sony for the other 2. Never received them.:mad:

There is a similar offer on Amazon at the moment but it's for Panasonic. For example you can get the Panasonic BD60EB for €190 delivered and get 7 blu ray movies although one of those is a trilogy. Link You have to send off a form to get the discs.

Im 99% sure the same happened last year. They had the BDP-S350 Offer but the picture was of a S300, but they were in fact selling the S350.

Anywhere in Ireland doing the same deal? I'm interested in the Panasonic and sticking a mod chip in to make it compatible with Region A Blu-Rays

Yeah, its very similar to the early days of DVD, where you had to hardmod the player by soldering a chip in, the Panasonic Blu-Rays are fairly easy if you have done any electronic soldering. Now I need to find a cheap enough BD60 in a store here.
